We are looking for a mission-driven Senior Marketing Analyst to join our Member Marketing team. This team member will enable Zipcar’s marketing team to make better strategic decisions based on member driving behavior, satisfaction (NPS), interactions with the call center, apps and website.  This individual will help build and continuously refine key models for understanding and monitoring Zipcar’s member base, including customer segmentation, lifetime value, engagement, and media mix models partnering closely with the Data Science & Analytics team.  In addition, this individual will be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of marketing channels, campaigns and initiatives.  This position will report to the director of Marketing - member acquisition & retention.


  • Design and build KPI metrics and dashboards, working with marketing leadership to design meaningful metrics
  • Forecast & Business case support
  • Manage digital attribution methodology and data accuracy
  • Define / refine campaign measurement strategies
  • Deep dive analysis and Insight (Include large and small projects) / Identification of gaps and opportunities
  • Support the rollout of Zipcar’s new Redshift Member Database: setting standards for data validation and interpretation; prioritizing addition of new data sources; managing interfaces with third party products (Zendesk, Five9, Medallia, etc)
  • Design personalization strategy for Zipcar app and services based on members’ demonstrated preferences and behaviors
  • Advise product engineering on best practices for data capture to support meaningful analytics downstream


  • Minimum two years of relevant analytics experience, ideally at a cloud-based consumer tech company
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels (including executive team) and articulate ideas, analysis results, and recommendations
  • Ability to prioritize work independently, ensuring accuracy while meeting rigid deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; advanced degree a plus
  • Excellent technical skills:  expert SQL, experience with a modern programming language (eg Python), experience with a statistical processing language (R, matlab), and experience with a data visualization / BI tool (Looker, Tableau, Spotfire)
  • Familiarity with basic statistical methods
  • Experience working with standard AWS services a plus (EC2, EMR, S3, Kinesis, etc)
  • Software development experience a plus
