Marketing Manager-Full Funnel
Job Description
The Physical Retail Marketing team is looking for a Physical Retail Manager to join a rapidly growing line of business, leading the approach to omni-channel marketing activation for the Wayfair stores. This Manager will work to help develop the retail marketing playbook from the ground up as Wayfair approaches this new frontier, and will lead the thinking in the ongoing optimization as store locations scale (e.g. targeting, creative, promotions, etc).
The Physical Retail Marketing Manager will partner with cross-functional leads across physical retail and marketing channels to help deliver an omni-channel approach for the Wayfair stores.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop retail marketing channel playbook for initial set of stores set to open in 2023 including new store opening promotion, driving repeat visits, and omni-channel content (e.g. social, email, search, direct mail, etc.)
- Serve as strategic thought partner to marketing channel teams and physical retail organization
- Create tools and processes to enable scalability of marketing playbook in preparation for rapid store expansion
- Develop a creative testing schedule to accelerate results; extrapolate learnings and winning practices across channels
- Define well-rounded suite of KPIs for measuring the impact of retail marketing efforts; iterate on KPIs and benchmarks as data becomes available
- Deeply understand the retail marketing channel narratives; report-out to leadership and marketing teams in formal and informal touchpoints
- Work closely and own the relationship with relevant cross-functional partners, including: physical retail org, marketing channel leads, brand team, creative, marketing product managers and more
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
- 4+ years experience activating omni-channel marketing campaigns; ideally within a retail/ecommerce environment
- Ability to own and structure an ambiguous problem space to drive growth
- Superb project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects at once with a variety of partners and stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- High proficiency in Excel, SQL, or other analytical tools; comfort in drawing conclusions from data
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to leverage data from a multitude of sources to tell a persuasive story, tailor communication style based on the audience, and influence others
- Familiarity with or intellectual curiosity about the latest retail trends and best practices especially as it relates to the target consumer
